Spin configuration of ferromagnetic/antiferromagnetic nano-composite particles
A systematic study of the spin configuration of ferromagnetic(core)/antiferromagnetic(shell) nanocomposite particles was carried out by two approaches: micromagnetic and atomistic simulations. In the case of strong interlayer exchange coupling between ferromagnet and antiferromagnet, the micromagnetic simulation result is consistent with the atomistic simulation result. However, in the case of ...
متن کاملPseudoclassical Mechanics for the Spin 0 and 1 Particles
We give an action for the massless spinning particle in pseudoclassical mechanics by using grassmann variables. The constructed action is invariant under τ-reparametrizations, local SUSY and O(N) transformations. After quantization, for the special case N = 2, we get an action which describes the spin 0, 1 particles and topological sectors of the massless DKP theory. A SUSY formulation of the g...
متن کاملAnyons as Spin Particles: from Classical Mechanics to Field Theory
(2+1)-dimensional relativistic fractional spin particles are considered within the framework of the group-theoretical approach to anyons starting from the level of classical mechanics and concluding by the construction of the minimal set of linear differential field equations. Talk given at the Conference “Theories of Fundamental Interactions”, Maynooth, Ireland, May 1995; to be published in “T...
متن کاملSpin excitations in ferromagnetic manganites
An effective one–band Hamiltonian for colossal–magnetoresistance (CMR) manganites is constructed and the spin excitations are determined. Fitting the experimental data by the derived spin–wave dispersion gives an eg–electron hopping amplitude of about 0.2 eV in agreement with LDA band calculations.
متن کاملQuantum magnetomechanics with levitating superconducting microspheres.
We show that by magnetically trapping a superconducting microsphere close to a quantum circuit, it is possible to perform ground-state cooling and prepare quantum superpositions of the center-of-mass motion of the microsphere. Due to the absence of clamping losses and time-dependent electromagnetic fields, the mechanical motion of micrometer-sized metallic spheres in the Meissner state is predi...
